Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie (born November 24, 1982) is an American political commentator. She was previously a politician, and a TV host on MSNBC and a frequent contributor for The Huffington Post, and the former co-host of The Hill's Rising together with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball made the decision to cancel the show in the month of May 2021. This was to allow for them to release Breaking Points (Krystal and Saagar). Ball co-hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with Kyle Kulinski. She has been featured on various network shows, including CNN, Fox News, Fox News, CNBC, Fox News, and Real Time together with Bill Maher. Ball married Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball attributes her passion for politics due to the reality that she became a mother during the 2008 primaries, and also was able to be able to watch the US presidential election results while in Jordan. She was able to observe how the election affected people in that country and thereby gained an appreciation for the global implications of US politics. She was a Senior Fellowship of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional district in the 2010 election. She lost to Republican incumbent Rob Wittman. She co-hosted the MSNBC program The Cycle from June 2012 to July 2015. In May 2017, she founded the People's House Project, a political action group working on behalf of Democratic causes.
