Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19th, 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her most well-known work is her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Following the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish roots and stated that she participates in Passover seders.
