Maria Elena Bello

 Maria Elena Bello is an American actress from the United States. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). On TV, Bello appeared as Dr. Anna Del Amico on the medical drama ER (1997-1998), with additional starring roles, including Lucy Robbins on the series Touch in 2013. She also starred as Michelle McBride on the first season of the series Goliath in 2016, and from 2017 through 2021 as Special Agent Jacqueline "Jack" Sloane in the show NCIS. Bello was born on April 18, 1967 in Norristown Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Kathy who was a school nurse and teacher and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a working-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. In the seventh grade at Villanova University, she majored in politics. Bello continued her education in acting by participating in several New York theater productions after she finished her studies. Bello, along with Dan McDermott is the proud mother of Jackson. Bello published a blog in November of 2013 about her similar-sex relationship, Clare Munn, and how it ended. She published a book titled Whatever...Love Is a Love: The Truth Behind the Labels We Place on Ourself. (Dey Street Books. April 28 and 29, 2015).
